I bought some bentonite clay from @naturalhairavenue on IG and decided to try it out today and I was impressed. I've never seen my curls pop out like that. Jeezz😧
1. I mixed some bentonite clay with water and olive oil in a PLASTIC bowl (DO NOT USE A METAL DISH BECAUSE IT WILL REDUCE IT'S EFFECTIVENESS. USE GLASS OR PLASTIC). That quantity was small so I added more. You can always use Apple Cider Vinegar or green tea instead of water and any other essential oils
2. I loosened my two cornrows
3. I divided my hair into 3 portions, packed it and left one
4. I filled my spray bottle with some water
5. I dampened my hair
6. Applied the mask
7. And voilà. That's how it looked like when I finished. My curls were out, poppinnnnng💃🏼. I covered my hair with a shower cap, left it for 20 mins, and washed it off.
Benefits
- It clarifies and cleanses the hair because it binds to and attracts dirt and other impurities
- It conditions and moisturizes the hair
- It reduces dandruff
- Nourishes the hair
DON'T USE IT TOO FREQUENTLY BECAUSE CLAY DRIES THE HAIR OUT. ONCE EVERY TWO TO FOUR WEEKS SHOULD BE ENOUGH TO ENJOY THE BENEFITS.

Great post. But do you know bentonite clay is great for your skin but awful for your hair?

well I got good results so why not?!😄

Of course you got great results. How did the bowl you used in mixing it feel when you were washing it off? Hard i assume. Think about that on your hair.

Precious, go easy. Especially when someone is seeing the results they desire from a hair practice, you'd usually want to communicate concerns from a very friendly place. You know we're all a bit protective of our magic recipes, even when there's emerging evidence that they might be harmful. I for on...View more

Precious, not at all. Your intent is clearly positive. It's just that in certain situations, one has to be extra gentle to truly reach the one we want to communicate to.
